Abstract

Contrary to Christenfeld and Hill (1995), we find that children aged 1, 3, and 5 do not appear to resemble their fathers significantly more than their mothers. We provide an explanation as to why this should be. In addition, we note that any father-child resemblance that does exist, although better than chance, is far from overwhelming.
