Research
LEAD is a laboratory devoted to cognitive psychology research whose main focus is to develop a better understanding of the mental processes underlying learning, both in adults and children, with an additional, specific interest in learning in work-related areas. Language, music, graphic activity, and work-related applications constitute the core areas of the laboratory’s study of learning. Work on executive functions in which the role of attention is central is also of particular importance. Behavioral experimental methodology is the main, although not exclusive, means of investigation. Computational modeling and electrophysiological techniques also play a significant role in the battery of LEAD’s investigative techniques.
