Résumé
In this paper, a series of experiments conducted in adults and in children is reported. The findings allow to argue for the view that writing benefits from a relative specificity as compared to speaking. The evidence comes from two series of experiments conducted : (1) on normal adults who had to speak aloud or to write down isolated words from pictures and (2) on judgement and production of nonwords tasks elicited from children.
