Curriculum Vitae

I am Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France (start oct. 2010).

I joined the University of Bourgogne as Professor of Cognitive Psychology in Sep. 2009. From 1996 to 2001, I held the title of Assistant Professor, in 2001 Associate Professor, and in 2003 Full Professor (University Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand).  I teach cognitive psychology (memory, language). Since September 2009, I have been full-member of the Laboratoire d’Etude de l’Apprentissage et du Developpement LEAD-CNRS (UMR 5022). Before this, I was full member of LAPSCO-CNRS (UMR 6022) (1996 to August 2009) and head of a research team (2002-2009). 

 

Research topics

- written word production (spelling to dictation, spoken/written naming) :  Frequency and age of acquisition (AoA) ; orthographic consistency

- written and spoken word recognition: role of orthographic codes in speech perception; influence of AoA and word frequency in word reading, lexical decision
